John Howlin

John Howlin (1941-2006) was a British-born painter, print maker and sculptor. He was a contemporary of and exhibited with David Hockney and Howard Hodgkin in 1963. Edward Lucie Smith reviewed that exhibition at the Whitechapel Gallery, London ( called THE IMPACT MAKERS) and hailed them as “four artists ( including Ian Stephenson) making an impact on British art”. Howlin trained at Hammersmith, and moved to Canada in 1969, later living in France where he died in 2006. He has a fantastic track record and work in collections all over the world. We have available a small number of quite large paintings available, hitherto unsold. Contact the gallery for further information
