South-West based painter Camilla Clark is relatively new to the bowie gallery, but she’s making her mark fast. These are sensitive paintings, often related to the sea and sky, and always created with a sense of the artist’s love of these places she visits and records. Largely associated with the feeling of place rather than recording photographically, the one shown here is a great example. PASSING THROUGH is a metaphorical painting that draws an association between the sighting of dolphins, and another more personal experience. At 152 x 122 cm (5′ x 4′) it offers a stunning impact. and great beauty.
